Barbour Plastics complete marine product line ranging from boat rub rail extrusions to dock bumper, piling caps …
Barbour Marine is a leading manufacturer of custom marine-grade vinyl extrusions, supplying both recreational and commercial boat builders.
Since the American boating boom of the 1960s, Barbour Marine (a division of Barbour Plastics) has helped transform the boat-building industry. We pioneered the shift from traditional aluminum gunwales to high-performance, exterior-grade vinyl, offering improved durability, lighter weight, and better design flexibility.
Today, we’re a trusted supplier to premier boat manufacturers and marine buying groups. As a one-stop partner, we provide high-quality, cost-effective, and corrosion-resistant extrusions, supporting the performance and aesthetics of modern watercraft.

Beyond rub rails, Barbour Marine crafts specialized extrusions for every aspect of modern boat design. We engineer precision gaskets for hatches and live wells, custom window seals, and interior trim for consoles and cabinetry. For specialty craft, we produce gunwale rails for canoes and rub strakes for inflatable boats. Every profile is tailored to your specifications, with our engineers partnering directly with OEM builders. This ensures your vessel isn’t just built to last—it’s built to lead.
Premium Co & Tri extruded rub rails which hide fastners and leave behind a sleak finish 360 degrees around your boat.
Let Barbour Marine bring your design to life with the efficiency and quality your brand deserves.
Bunk Profiles are usually made in a TPV, PVC or MDPE. TPV offers a grippier surface, F-PVC is typically most cost effective. MDPE offers a slicker surface. Depending on whether for boat lift, boat storage or boat trailer, or customers may desire a different option.
Rub Rail material is usually decided by cost, ease of installation and the final end appearance. Rigid Rub Rail: Known for a flawless, straight profile and higher durometer—ideal for premium aesthetics. Can be harder to install for the less experienced. Semi-Rigid Rub Rail: Easier to bend around bows and transoms with moderate wall thickness for both durability and flexibility. Flexible Rub Rail: Maximum flexibility, softer durometer, and designed for easy installation and impact absorption. Uni-Flex Series: Our proprietary co-extrusion. It was developed to solve the challenge of combining a sleek, finished look with enhanced impact protection—ideal for builders who want premium design without sacrificing durability and easiest to install with best appearance.
